Whimsical Woodland Picnic

I recently had the pleasure of collaborating with the super talented, lifestyle blogger, Codi-Lynn of Creative Wife & Joyful Worker, to create a whimsical woodland soiree for kids. She had approached me with a vision of a beautifully styled toddler picnic in a wooded clearing featuring as many of our favourite handmade local makers as we could! I was delighted to be a part of it!

So together, we put our creative minds to work to bring to life this very sweet, faerie-like affaire!

Quilted blankets, delicate wildflowers and a rustic wood table decorated with lace and gold trimmed party ware from Heather & Gem, all worked together to create the perfect setting for this whimsical party.

The desserts on the table were gorgeous and tasted as delicious as they looked! I mean, just look at these gorgeous marshmallows from Marsh & Mallow!

When the children came out to the party, they wasted no time helping themselves to the tasty confectionaries. Their hands and mouths were instantly filled with frosted cupcakes, sugar cookies and marshmallows!

Each child's outfit was styled by me and features a coordinated assortment of incredible pieces from various makers within the Fraser Valley and Canada. This little faerie princess is wearing our own Little & Lively Mila Dress with a gorgeous necklace by Mamagems. Her delicate fresh flower crown, along with the floral crowns worn by all the little girls in the photo shoot was created by Mint & Moss.

Many of the children in our photo shoot wore lovely moccasins made by Canadian creator of gorgeous soft-soled leather shoes, Minimoc.

This handsome guy is wearing a locally made Kewe Clothing cloud T-shirt paired with jeans distressed by Tattrd Threads.

This sweet little doll is wearing my favourite outfit of all! A Polkadot Romper by Little & Lively, perfectly paired with a lace kimono from Petite Prairie Style. And those adorable little knee-high critter socks are from Little Oak & Rose.

This little sweetie is wearing our Mila Dress accessorized with a gorgeous necklace by Mamagems and coordinating Little Oak & Rose collar!

I think my heart may explode when I see these two dolls in the woods! Each is wearing coordinating items from Little & Lively in our popular Aqua on Flowers print.

Those Little Oak & Rose knee-high socks have to be some of the cutest accessories I've ever laid eyes on!

This delightful photo shoot could not have been possible without the contribution of countless individuals including the stunning decorations (like these potted succulents from Three Corners Artisan). From the playful, adorable models and their willing & supportive parents, to the generous donations of each of the makers - each addition helped bring this wonderful theme to life.
